Nucleotide BLAST

Search origin-associated sequences, not whole replicons. A high-identity local match may cover only a small fraction of a whole-replicon query; sequence similarity does not establish origin activity.

Targets may include flanks or broader replication regions; this collection is separate from DoriC prediction records.
Example: 12 sequences, ordered as bacterial chromosome, archaeal chromosome, bacterial plasmids and archaeal plasmid (11 RefSeq records and 1 GenBank record). Download example FASTA
UTF-8 plain text; up to 20 records and 10,000,000 nucleotide bases in total. Uploaded files must not exceed 10 MB.
Advanced options

Defaults: BLASTN, word size 11, E-value 1e-5 and 10 targets per query. DUST filtering is enabled for DoriC and disabled for the manually compiled collection.
